my fish!

Here are some pictures of my fish. I have 4 fish tanks in my house. Please comment on the ones you like. Thank you:)

To begin setting up your fish tank first you must find a place to put it. The best place to put an aquarium is on a shelf that has very little or no sun. The reason for this is because you don't want green algae growing on your glass. If you don't know what Algae is here is a picture.

As you can see it does not look very nice on the glass because you can't see anything. When you have chosen a spot for your aquarium you can now go to the store to buy your aquarium. the best place to go is a store that specializes in aquariums and fish, but any pet store will do. Before you buy any fish you have to set up your aquarium and let the water filter for at least a week. To do this you must buy an aquarium, a water pump, filter cartridges for your pump, gravel, and some thing to get rid of the chlorine in your water. Ask someone in the store to help you. Most of the time stores have packages that come with all this. Depending on what size aquarium you buy this will cost anywhere between 300 dollars to 1500$. The bigger the aquarium the higher the cost.

When you bring your aquarium home you should give it a nice rinse. DO NOT USE ANY SOAP OR CLEANING PRODUCTS!!! Only use water. Before you start putting water in your aquarium you have to put the gravel in. first rinse the gravel so you get all the dust removed. then you put the the gravel in the aquarium. Don't start putting any water yet! First you have to assemble the water pump. Follow the instructions in the book and then place on your aquarium. now fill your aquarium up with water. put a little in the pump and turn it on. When you pump is running you can now put some of that chlorine remover. Usually it says how many drops to put in per gallon.

Now you have to wait a week before you buy any fish because you have to make sure all of the chlorine is removed from your water so the fish don't die. When a week passes by you can go to the store and buy some sturdy fish and plants.
